Our structures.

We operate through two main structures that allow us to reach the broadest possible audience, both virtually and on the ground:

  • Beit Jeddé - Mtein, our "physical" structure, is a community center and our informal headquarters.
  • The Tomorrow Institute is a platform for learning, building networks and exchanging ideas on heritage and sustainability.

BEIT JEDDE - MTEIN.

OUR COMMUNITY HUB
Beit Jeddé is an example of how a traditional village house can serve as a hub for spreading awareness about the importance of Heritage and Sustainability.

As a community center, it gives locals & visitors a place to gather, to sell handcrafted products and to enjoy various activities ranging from heritage-based workshops and film screenings to yoga and art classes.

Beit Jeddé also serves as the headquarters of Boukra's Recycling Team, a group of highly motivated volunteers who participate in our awareness raising campaigns.

In addition, a sorting station has been created on Beit Jeddé's grounds that offers neighbors the possibility to efficiently and sustainably dispose of their recyclable waste.

"Hospitality means primarily the creation of free space where the stranger can enter and become a friend instead of an enemy.

Hospitality is not to change people, but to offer them space where change can take place.

OUR LEARNING & SHARING PLATFORM
The Tomorrow Institute is our safe space for reflexion and dialogue. It operates both online and through in-person meetings.

With like-minded individuals and institutions, we gather to learn, conduct research, and scout sustainable initiatives. Our goal is to create a network of engaged citizens who actively work to build a better, more sustainable and more inclusive future.

How we do it:
  • In-person workshops, film screenings and seminars
  • Online resources and courses from the Tomorrow Institute
  • Support to the creation of green jobs and heritage-based jobs
