Culture & Learning.
Workshops · Events · Transmission
Boukra curates encounters dedicated to reflection, transmission, and shared knowledge.
This practice brings together cultural programming and learning initiatives as complementary forms of exchange.

Through talks, workshops, gatherings, and publications, Boukra creates spaces for ideas, practices, and experiences to circulate with depth and intention.

Learning is understood not as instruction, but as participation — rooted in dialogue, practice, and continuity.

Concerts and film screenings are also part of our cultural programming. We regularly host performances by local artists who incorporate elements of traditional music into their style.
Programs evolve over time and are shaped by context, collaboration, and relevance.

Past collaborations include:
  • Screenings of Home of Cine-Jam award-winning series Zyara; including bringing the series to the schools in Mtein, resulting in a short and very emotional film about the pupils' reactions to injustice and bullying
  • Screening of My grandfather's picture by Wassim Geagea
The transmission of Living Heritage to younger generations is also one of our core missions.
Every summer, we organize dedicated workshops that touch on heritage issues in a fun and meaningful way: drawing, dabke, photography, theater, traditional instrument making, etc.
Boukra is a curated cultural platform dedicated to intangible heritage as a living, ethical, and contemporary practice.

Through spaces, cultural programming, design collaborations, and learning initiatives, we bring together culture, sustainability, and the art of conscious living.

We are a non-profit, independent, non-partisan and non-political entity.
